At Smiles Hollywood Orthodontics, we know that our patients have many different financial needs. So, we want to help patients in any way that we can, so that orthodontic care is affordable for as many people as possible. These are several ways that we try to help make orthodontic care possible for our top Mckinney Orthodontics patients:

ORTHODONTIC FINANCING OPTIONS

Payment options provide assistance with investing in your new smile that will last a lifetime!

• • Affordable Payment Plans
    Everyone’s finances are different and payment plans should reflect that. We will work with you to create a flexible plan that is within your budget including a down payment you can afford.
  • 0% Interest in-house financing
    Smiles Hollywood Orthodontics allows your family to pay out the cost of your or your child’s orthodontic treatment. In most cases, we do not charge interest so you will not have to be concerned about additional costs.
  • Down payment assistance
    Down payments run anywhere from $250 to $1250. In many cases, we will allow the down payment to be split into two or three payments depending on the amount.
  • Most Insurances Accepted
    Even if our doctors are not listed on your plan, we can still work with most insurances so don’t let that deter you from coming for a first evaluation. Plus the first evaluation is FREE! We will assist you in determining the orthodontic benefits allowed by your insurance plan. Our staff has experience with many insurance companies and they are happy to walk you through coverage options.
  • Flexible spending accounts accepted
    Many people make use of their flexible spending accounts each year for orthodontic care which is a great tax saving strategy.

OBTAINING YOUR INSURANCE INFORMATION

When you make your appointment with us, we will ask you for your dental insurance information. Many insurance companies are not mailing dental cards anymore, so you will have to check with your employer’s Human Resources department to get your dental information. We will need the subscriber’s name and date of birth, as well as the subscriber’s employer and ID number and Group number. As a courtesy to you, we will verify your insurance and see how much orthodontic insurance you have available. One important thing to understand before your appointment with top Mckinney Orthodontics insurance is that, unlike medical and dental insurance that starts over each year with its’ benefits; orthodontic insurance is a one-time, lifetime benefit per covered individual. In other words, if you have $1,000 in orthodontic insurance coverage, that is how much you have for the lifetime for that individual. The only way you may get more orthodontic insurance is if you have a job change and then you may get more orthodontic coverage. As a courtesy to you, we will apply that towards your balance on your contract and we will file the insurance for you. Insurance will then pay towards your orthodontics either monthly or quarterly during the treatment. Insurance usually does not pay a lump sum amount. If you do change jobs and orthodontic insurance coverage plans change, please let us know right away and we will file a work in progress, most of the time, the new insurance company will pick up where the old insurance left off. We are happy to do this for all of our patients. Please just let us know!

top Mckinney Orthodontics has two phases. Phase I is a skeletal phase. During this phase, we are able to correct many skeletal issues by using a few different appliances, such as expanders, face masks, headgear or the Herbst device. This phase is generally done in girls around the ages of 7-9 years old and in boys around the ages of 8-10 years old. Not everyone will need a Phase 1 treatment. Then, a few years later, Phase II is done, which is full braces (around age 12 to 14 years old). This is typically what most people think of when they think of orthodontic treatment. Each phase has a separate treatment fee. So, if you don’t use all of your orthodontic insurance on the first phase (if needed), then you can use the rest of your insurance benefit during the second phase.

ZERO % FINANCING

One great service we offer is 0% in-house financing provided with NO INTEREST. This is available for most of our patients. When you sign your contract for your treatment plan, please let the top Mckinney Orthodontics treatment coordinator know that you want to be set up on an easy pay plan. All you have to do is give us a credit card that you want your monthly payment to go on and you even get to pick the day of the month that you want the payment to be put on your credit card! By doing this, you don’t have to think about making your monthly payment, as it is automatically drafted each month for you. If the card that you have for your auto draft expires or if you want to change credit cards, that’s no problem at all. Please just call the office and let them know what new credit card number you want to start using. It’s super simple! Many people will use their FSA and/or HSA cards for the monthly payments, which is great! Just let us know!

PAID IN FULL DISCOUNT

If you would like to pay in full for your treatment then this is just another way that we try to help our patients financially. We also give discounts for those in the military, teachers, nurses/first responders and pastors. Also, we offer a top Mckinney Orthodontics homeschool discount if you are willing to make your appointments during school hours only. These are hours between 9am and 2pm. Smiles Hollywood Orthodontics does run specials from time to time as well.

FLEXIBILITY IN CASE OF FINANCIAL CRISIS

We are flexible in case of a crisis. If you do have a financial crisis, such as a job loss, etc, please let us know, and oftentimes, we can work with you and possibly make your payments a bit smaller for a few months, until you are back on your feet again financially. We understand that life happens and we will do what we can to help you in case of a financial problem.
